Biography

Dr. David S. Ellena Roanoke College, B.S. University of Richmond, M.S. University of Virginia, M.Ed. David is the Education Policy Analyst and Director of Web Communications for the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals. David has served Virginia's public schools for 30 years, and is currently the Principal of Tomahawk Creek Middle School in the Chesterfield division. Larry has been a member of VASSP since 2001 and has served on the Board of Directors for 12 years. He has served as the Assistant Principal At Large for two terms, the Director of Region I for two terms, President Elect, President of VASSP and Immediate Past President. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He has presented at the VASSP summer conference and has served as presider for several speakers.

VASSP Sponsors Assistant Principal Insitute

IMG_0672 (2)On Wednesday, October 29, VASSP sponsored an Assistant Principal Institute. The institute was held in Williamsburg, VA, at the Doubletree Hotel. There were over 40 participants from around the Commonwealth. Janice Case, former VASSP Board Member and State Coordinator, conducted the workshop. Mrs. Case is now a trainer and facilitator for NASSP and the National Association of School Leadership (NISL).
