Virginia Principal Is Excellence In Education Award Recipient

Congratulations are in order for Mrs. Carolyn Bernard, principal at Grassfield High School, Chesapeake City School Division, as the recipient of the Advanced Ed Virginia Excellence in Education Award.  Carolyn’s career in education started as a classroom teacher and over a 41 year span, culminated in her current position as high school principal.  Carolyn Bernard has served the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals on the Board of  Directors as the representative for Region II and as VASSP President in 2011-2012.

The inscription on her award plaque reads:
