In a recent blog, “Evaluation Lessons From Roger Ebert,” the two authors, Berkowicz and Myers draw a parallel to the teacher evaluation process and movie reviews. While the notion of a movie critic (evaluator) having an impact or relationship to teacher evaluation may be unusual, it seems that there really is a close tie from one to another. If you are thinking, “Yes, both are forms of entertainment”, be prepared to go deeper than that concept.
If this is the time of the school year when classroom observations and follow up reviews with teachers are beginning to pile up, you may just find a thought in this blog to help you with your interactions and associations with your staff.
