By now, you should have received your March edition of the NASSP News Leader and noticed on the back page that the Virginia Association of Secondary Principals’ (VASSP) own Dr. Randy Barrack was selected as the NASSP Advocate of the Month. Dr. Barrack was chosen for this recognition as a consistent strong advocate for recognition of secondary school administrators and the efforts they put forth to improve middle and secondary education in the Commonwealth and in the nation. Dr. Barrack is well known in the hallways and offices in our own state Senators and members of House of Representatives at the General Assembly in addition to our national representatives in the US Congress. Thanks for all that you do to keep VASSP one of the premier state administrator’s associations.
Other significant VASSP members who play an active role in Virginia and national politics/policies are identified in the article. Included are the current VASSP President Dr. Brian Matney, Dr. Jeffrey Carroll, Director-At-Large for VASSP, Ms. Carole Kihm, VASSP state coordinator and the immediate past president for VASSP, Dr. David Ellena.
