January will be here soon and along with the colder weather in 2013, it also ushers in this year’s General Assembly. Yes, it is that time of the year when our elected state senators and house of delegates representatives prepare to meet, talk, deliberate and in due time put forth legislative actions intended to improve our lot in the Commonwealth.
In order to assist you with keeping track of the actions in general of our elected officials, I am including the site to connect you to the activities in Richmond: http://virginiageneralassembly.gov You may access information at this site by using the header at the top of the screen “Bill Tracking Meetings, Who’s My Legislator” or on the left side bar, click on “Members and Sessions” for information.
Bet Neale will again be covering the the General Assembly this year so be certain to check the VASSP blog site for regular information.
The General Assembly will open their sessions on Wednesday, January 9th. Be prepared for what will certainly be an interesting and perhaps challenging GA session in 2013.
