NASSP has just released information regarding the initiation of the Digital Principal Award, a new awards program that recognizes principals who model effective technology leadership. This award, according to Bob Farrace, NASSP senior director of communications and development, “is an opportunity to honor principals who exhibit bold, creative leadership in their drive to harness the potential of new technologies to further learning goals.” Criteria for the award will be based on the National Education Technology Standards for Administrators and the application of those skills to further Breaking Ranks school improvement. Applications are due January 17, 2012.
